Special Menu

The Special menu allows you to access several special features of Gas Man®:

Disable Uptake	Alternately eliminates (displays check mark) and restores (hides check mark) the uptake effect. When the uptake effect is disabled, Gas Man® ignores the effect of uptake on Alveolar Ventilation (concentration effect). (SHORTCUT: CTRL+U)
Disable Return	Alternately eliminates (displays check mark) and restores (hides check mark) the return effect. When the return effect is disabled, Gas Man® ignores the effect that the presence of agent in venous blood has on alveolar tension. (SHORTCUT: CTRL+R)
Enable Vapor	Alternately adds (displays check mark) and eliminates (hides check mark) the vaporization effect. When the vapor effect is enabled, Gas Man® adds the effect of vaporization on fresh gas flow. (SHORTCUT: CTRL+V)
Change Patient	Brings up a dialog box to change the patient's weight, compartment volumes, perfusion, cardiac output, and ventilation rates.
Set Bookmark	Brings up a dialog box to place automatic pauses in the simulation at given points in time.
Enable Scrolling	Alternately turns on (places check mark) and off (removes check mark) graph scrolling. If scrolling is off, the simulation will automatically pause when the graph paper is full. If scrolling is enabled, the graph paper will move left, and Gas Man® will continue to draw on the exposed portion.
Hide Numerics	Alternately turns on (places check mark) and off (removes check mark) the display of some numeric values on the Gas Man® Picture display. Provides control over the visual density of the display.
Show Cost	Alternately displays uptake and delivered in dollars (places check mark) or liters (removes check mark).
Show mL	Alternately displays uptake and delivered in milliliters liquid (places check mark) or liters gas (removes check mark). This toggle is disabled when Show Cost is enabled (when uptake and delivered displays are shown monetized and not as volumes). This function is not available for gaseous anesthetics.
